Instagram is testing a full-screen experience for its app

Instagram is testing a new full-screen experience for the iOS app. The test is only available to users in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland.  Instagram has tested various features over the years, including Stories, Direct Messages, and Direct Albums. The company also added GIF support to the app earlier this year. The full-screen mode is currently only available in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Users can access it by swiping left on their feed or tapping "Full Screen" on the bottom right corner of their screen. The move comes amid a growing trend of social media apps making changes to their user interface to create more immersive experiences. TikTok recently launched a new version of its app that allows users to view videos in full-screen mode for 24 hours at once; Instagram's test follows suit by allowing users to watch videos in full-screen mode as well. Brazil has banned sales of iPhones without chargers, according to the Associated Press.

  The Brazilian government said that it is concerned about the lack of chargers available in the country, which could lead to more than 100 million phones being thrown away each year. "It's not just an environmental issue," said Marcos Valério, a senior official at the national environment agency. "It's also a health issue." Valério said that people who rely on their phones for work or school should consider investing in a charger or carrying one in their bag so that they can connect with colleagues or classmates.
